Knik River Lodge offers cozy cabins with Alaska’s wilderness at your doorstep!

Our lodge is a 1-hour drive north of Anchorage near the spectacular Knik Glacier, tucked into the spectacular Chugach Mountain Range. Each of our 22 cabins are equipped with high quality bedding, private bathrooms, gas fireplace, mini-fridge, and a coffeemaker. Our onsite Raven’s Perch Restaurant offers fresh locally sourced cuisine, a great wine list and drafts from local breweries for lounging on our large patio!

Overnight guests as well as day visitors to the lodge can choose from our menu of optional tours. Our property serves as a year round helicopter base for glacier flight seeing adventures and many more opportunities. Options for helicopter tour include glacier landings near large azure melt pools, guided heli-hiking and glacier dogsled tours.  We are not limited to only helicopter tours, and work with partners that will take you up to the Knik Glacier on your own ATV! Our self guided trail system will take you up into the amazing wilderness, with the peace of mind that you are never far from home.

Our recommendation is to stay two nights, allowing you to enjoy one of the most beautiful places in Alaska! We also offer daily scheduled shuttle service from downtown Anchorage locations, but assure you that our location is an easy and very scenic drive on your own. Our easily accessible wilderness retreat is the perfect start or end to your Alaska vacation!
